I AM NOT TOUTING! Just passing this along as I found it interesting....

A Note From EZ (7-2-08)

Guys,

I received an email last night and wanted to share my thoughts with everyone in case you might have the same questions.I received an email from one of my clients last night after releasing today's plays asking me how I can make picks this early for the next day. He stated "the lines could change drastically from now until game time" He is 100% correct. That is exactly why I am making picks this early and listing the pitchers that I care about. I expect the lines especially in the three evening games to all move against us. When football season starts I will release the selections late because most of the time the lines tend to move in my favor, so you will most likely get the plays an hour or so before kickoff. But in baseball you have to jump on early lines, especially on favorites.

Baltimore Orioles

The price on the Orioles will only go up. Daniel Cabrera is 4-0 lifetime against the Royals with a 2.25 ERA. He is also 1-0 this season throwing a complete game three hitter in which he allowed one run. The Royals had been hot as hell, but this is still Kansas City that we are talking about. Meche allowed 5 runs in 5 inning when he faced the Orioles earlier this season. -$123 is a cheap price.

Boston Red Sox

I expect the public to jump on the Red Sox as a dog with Dice-K on the mound after losing the first two games of this series. Dice-K looked good in his first start back against the Astros and Scott Kazmir is only 6-6 lifetime against Boston including 0-1 this year allowing three runs in only four innings pitched. I'll take +$133 while I can, I expect the public to jump on the Sox.

Minnesota Twins

I'll jump on a hot Minnesota team at home at this low price. This line could go either way, but I don't really see the public favoring Detroit in this one with Eddie Bonine, who is a 27-year-old rookie and minor league journeymen, on the mound. The nice run the the Tigers have been on kept this opening line low. Blackburn is 2-0 in his last three starts but did not pitch well in a no decision in his last outing so maybe that helped to keep the line down as well. Blackburn was pitching that game with an extra days rest, which is not a good thing for sinker ball pitchers as they tend to pitch better when they are tired. I'll take -$114 all day here.

He also stated that my selections have "no consistency whatsoever." I agree 100% with that statement, but I'm not try to get anyone rich overnight. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice, but over the past six seasons in baseball I have averaged 65 units of profit per season. Being that I am currently up 27 units before the All-Star break and have recovered from a horrible start this season I would say we are on track. Remember, especially in baseball its a marathon not a sprint. There are going to be winning streaks and losing steaks. The big seven to ten day run that will net us 30 or so units is still to come.
