Default Wayne Root at it again...(savage will especially find this one funny)

I entered Wayne Root's WinningEdge NFL handicapping contest last year and finally received a prize over the weekend in the mail. One week of the contest, I finished in the top 10 out of thousands of people and was supposed to receive an autographed copy of "The Zen of Gambling" book and also a year's subscription to ScoreRunner.

In the mail, I received a copy of Wayne Root's most recent classic book "Millionaire Republican" instead of the originally promised prize - "The Zen of Gambling" book. Not even autographed or anything - just the same book you could have bought anywhere. It has nothing to do with sports or gambling - just politics, life, stocks, wealth, etc.

There was also a letter explaining why the year's subscription to ScoreRunner could not be provided - it explained that ScoreRunner was no longer in business! However, the letter says that Wayne wanted to "make good" (hah!) for not having that prize and make up for it with a weekend's worth of Millionaire Club picks! Baseball and Pre-Season Football! And you even have to -call- a phone number to get the picks so we all know what that means! Hah, what a bunch of crap! Replacing a useful prize with just a salespitch!

The letter also said that in standard Wayne Root fashion, he is changing the channel again that his show will be on this season. Now it's going to be on the Discovery Channel! Hah! He changes channels every year to try and find new audiences. But gees, the Discovery Channel?! Hah!

Nice to see this contest saga finally come to some sort of end. And it's pretty much the type of end that I expected!
