And yes Phil is locked into betting or or against certain teams week after week no matter how bad a bet it may be.
He also loves playing those big NFL favorites especially teams like New England and Indianapolis;the more they are favored by, the better he things the bet is. I mean who in their right mind would give out the Pats yesterday as a 13 1/2 point favorite, when they are known to let up against teams like Detroit?
Just look at his Powersweep selections some time(the regular plays as well as the rated ones);90% of them are favorites-is it no wonder that his record sucks this year?
If Consumer Reports did a study of the way in which Phil spins a record and compared it with reality, and everyone became aware of it, his service would go out of business;actually I notice that he is discontinuing the 900 phone services at $35 a pop, stating that folks will now have to use the debit card.
Obviously, the real reason is that virtually no one is calling anymore, and Phil can not longer afford to maintain them.
I can't prove it, but personally I believe because his picks have sucked for the entire season and since many know that all of the picks are posted for nothing, his service is in big trouble and that business revenues are down HUGE.
I hate to be mean, but if Phil needs to lie/omit to keep your business going, if his business is hurting or goes bellyup, he deserves it.
