Let's analize this suspension bullshit handed down by MLB. Derek Lee and Chris Young both get suspended 5 games for fighting. Chris Young just made his last start before the all-star break and just happened to decide to start serving his suspension. He will miss 4 games, which he wouldn't have pitched in anyway, go to the all-star game which just so happens to be his next pitching date, throw a couple of innings, take a day off, be suspended for SD's first game back from break and then start the next game for the Padres. Derek Lee is appealing his suspension which would put him, a number 3 hitter batting over .330, out of the EVERYDAY line-up costing him at least 20 at bats and a gold glover in the field. Sounds fair to me. How about a 5 game suspension for someone who is a starting pitcher equals 25 games on suspension? Makes too much sense.
