On a personal note, I am a lifelong Red Sox fan going back to the days of Yaz, Fisk and Rice. This year DiceK has been disgusting. I also question their offensive output. One hit last night, though shortened to 5 innings, and now one hit tonight through 5+ so far tonight. Is something wrong with the entire team?

I have been a Sox diehard since 1952(since I was 8 years old)-I kid you not-for some reason they took down my Sox moniker.
I agree with you about DiceK-he was pretty lucky last year to get out of those many jams he created, and the Sox got him plenty of runs;this year he has not been so lucky.
With Smoltz and Bucholz waiting in the wings, the Sox are faced with a huge dilemma concerning what to do with him.
Under the rules the only way to gt him into the minors is to claim he is injured-he bitched the first time they did this.
I have never been impressed with him and even less so considering what he earns.
As far as the Sox go, I think they will be in the hunt and have a good chance of winning the East, as the Yanks have their own problems and a crappy manager(two straight losses to Washington at the Stadium!!!).
It should be fun the rest of the way.

He?s likely to have another bad game today against another American League team. Texas is throwing their ace Kevin Millwood. He?s having a career season because the franchise has finally built up a defense behind him. His ERA is an incredible 2.62 this season, and his WHIP is a sparkling 1.19. Posting those numbers in the DH league, while pitching home games in a hitting paradise, is phenomenal. Today, Millwood is facing one of the worst offenses in the inferior league, and he?s doing so in a park that helps pitchers. It?s an absolute mismatch on the mound and at the plate. Don't feel too bad for "The Snot" though, because as we all know he has multiple sets of plays and multiple ratings at multiple sites, meaning that he may try to call it a regular play or perhaps a comp. tomorrow in his recap(assuming he says anything at all-he is far from the most honest capper around).

My wife and I go and have gone to Vegas in the past to get away, go sightseeing, enjoy the weather(I love the dry heat), go to shows, eat in nice restaurants and to go visit and shop in the different casinos and malls(actually the great majority of time was spent shopping in the malls).
The only gambling I did was a few minutes each day with slot machines and roulette-needless to say I don't go to Vegas for the same reasons as do most sports gamblers.
In any case, thanks again for the invitation.
