Savage~
I've been trying to keep track of both Phil and Root's pre-season foots. I have this so far. Agree/disagree? PHIL Non-rated Marquee plays Saints +3 L (0-1) Under 34 Dallas W (1-1) Rated Plays Pats +3 Push or Loss depending on your spread (1-1-1) Minnesota -1 L (1-2-1) Texans (I would think loss for most people unless you were very fortunate to get a +1 or +2...doubt that many got that...closed at -3) (1-2-2) Cleveland -3 W (2-2-2) Marquee Play Over 35 1/2 Redskins (L) (2-3-2) Over 36 1/2 Chargers W (3-3-2) Broncos +3 (W) (4-3-2) WAYNE ROOT Chairman: Cowboys (W) (1-0) Chairman of the Board: Minnesota Vikings (L) (1-1) Millionaire: New Orleans Saints (L) (1-2) Chairman: Browns (W) (2-2) Milliionaire: Texans (P) (2-2-1) Chairman: San Fran 49ers (L) (2-3-1) Hope all is well |

Comps split and are now 126-98-3.
The first comp. is a 4* from Accuypic(your nose) on UNDER Washington. The other comp. is a 4* from Stan Li SOW ski on Philadelphia. Comp. record using above figures is an accurate 56%-less than the 64% Phil uses in his carefully selected time frames, which put the record in the best possible light. |

Comps split and are now 127-99-3. This is around 56%, again a far cry from the carefully 64% Phil brags about, which is based on carefully selected time frames to give people an inaccurate representation as to how comp. line has really been doing.
Phil is also grasping at straws today by discounting his miserable and still vastly overpriced Executive Service, which would only a fool would buy after NC's 32.7% in the NFL last year in Late phones and equally bad in colleges. The first comp. is a 3* from the entities who currently surround the DECEASED Mike Lee(don't ask me who the fu k the entities are and/or whether they are living or deceased) and is on UNDER Toronto. The other comp. is a 4* from Accupick(your nose) on the Yankees. |

Comps. split and are now 128-100-3.
Phil talks about technical problems with the debit card;I am wondering whether he REALLY means FINANCIAL problems with the debit card;trust me- total revenues from all sources will be down between 60 and 70% this year because of his miserable season in 2006 and worse his refusal to acknowledge it. The first comp. is again from the dead and/or live entities who surround the long time DECEASED Mike lee and who are loosely referred to as "friends." The pick is a 3* on OVER Yankees. The other comp. is a 4* from MasterBATE Sports on Arizona. |

savage, i checked the ratings for sebastian's radio show. he does have the highest rated show in that local area for that time slot. mostly men over 18 are the ones listening, few women, wonder why? lol. while that is a top 50 market, it is not close to markets like NY. if it were shown with the NY market, it wouldn't show up. i don't think radio hosts make that much money in anything but the big markets (NY, chi, LA, etc.), but who knows for sure.

Husker-as stated ,before I am sure Sebastian doesn't make Howard Stern money, but he has referred to his own salary as "being paid very well";I would say a bare minimum of $100K and perhaps 200K or more.
Think of it-he has made plenty of money with his own picks and paying customers. Whye would anyone want to get up at 4:30 every day and be on the radio from 6-10 for say a paltry 40-50K or so? He himself has complained about the hours, but being the mercenary person he is, I am sure what they pay him makes it worthwhile in his mind. He just said in the last few days his show has brought in "millions" in revenues. Even if that is an exaggeration, Sebastian would no more work for a mediocre salary than he would sell his picks at at a medicore price(last I checked what he charges for daily and weekly picks are a lot than most). |

there are people that would do almost anything to be on a radio station. how many people here would do it for nothing? it's that 5 min of fame thing. people work for peanuts all over, just hoping for that chance of making it big. why do you think guys like lang go on tv and radio shows? it's not because they are payed.

Husker-please. Sebastian has been broadcasting for 30 years including the Fan in New York and is in high demand because of his popularity.
I would think at his age (late 50's possibly 60) and his wealth, and what I cited before, the ego thing is NOT what is driving him primarily especially when you consider the horrible hours of broadcasting 6-10 AM. There is a difference between someone like Lang going on tv for a two bit opinion as opposed to someone like Sebastian doing it 4 hours a day and 5 days a week. Sebastian is a very proud man, and would not work unless he was compensated adequately;I don't think the salaries I suggested are unreasonable. What do YOU think he receives for a salary? |
