Phil throws out plenty of bogus internet specials today on his various phone services if you subscribe to his Ragazine, PowerSweep;the bottom line is that they are NOT specials at all because each and everyone of his picks as well as the big ones from the NC Cappers are available for NADA on sites like this.

I know I have talked about this before, but assuming that he/she does not live in the Stone Age and either has a computer or has access to one(if someone can't afford a computer and/or is too lazy to use it, he/she shouldn't be gambling), for the life of me I cannot understand why that person would buy most phone picks or sign up for a Late Phone Service package including Northcoast when virtually everything is available for FREE.
On the other hand, Phil won't admit this, but it a Stone Cold Lock that his revenues are down big.
As a matter of fact, just today in desperation he offered a pretty cheap trial of his Executive Service;he calls it a trial;I say it is a desperate move to sell his Executive Picks, which virtually everyone has deserted at $3750 a pop for the season because of last year's disaster and worse Phil's dishonesty about it!

Starting Monday, as Phil states #9 is for football only, I will start a new thread for football only.

It is also interesting that of late Phil has been mentioning losses on the comp. line rather than talking only about the winners.
With football here, he probably doesn't want to get called out about the issue;afterall, he prides himself about "always" telling us about the losers as well as the winners.

savage...once again his marquis play is Oak, which is also his 3* tonite...then he promotes his marquis plays as 9-2 in his last eleven...again, building his marquis record with late phone plays so that during the year he can always tout a winning record to get people to buy his opinions...good ol' Uncle Phil!!

That is why I always say that while Phil is slicker than some of the obvious scamdicappers like Charlie, the bottom line is that this "double dipping" you allude to by counting wins twice, it is still a misrepresentation of his record.
Threads like this can weed out these deceptions to those who don't read between the lines.
What Phil does is akin to some of those seemingly unbelievable offers one gets in the mail or sees on tv;however, in very fine print there are conditions and terms which make the offer a LOT less attractive than what seems to be in the surface.
In the same way that the manufacturer of the particular product hopes that folks don't read the fine print, Phil hopes that when people hear his seemingly great records, they don't examine it considering ALL of the factors and simply passively accept everything he says.
Believe me that book to which I have alluded that doesn't give him a grade higher than C beginning in 2002 through last year and a Grade D- last year speaks volumes about NC has REALLY done of late.

reckless...this thread is not about finger pointing this one or that one about records or blah, blah, blah!...this is about HELPING the newcomer who is thinking about plunking down hard earned money on nc's service without knowing how uncle phil operates...i had exec service for the last 8 years...the first 3 were gold...the next four very average and last year pathetic!!...if you have been following this track for the last 8 or so months you will see that savage gives phil credit when due...if you paid for his service without checking this thread or the service plays area you made a mistake, imo, because the plays are all up here for FREE!!...uncle phil has a way of spinning his record to sound better than it is whether you believe that or not...keep track of this thread over the next couple of months and if you see something that is not correct let someone know...but don't bash savage because he is trying to HELP!!!...thx and best of luck!

You are entitled to your opinion;I will continue to present NC's record the way I see it.
The fact that in the PowerSweep Issue I received in August in which he raves about 2005 with no mention of his 32.7% record in the NL and about the same in colleges shows his mindset which is to make money at any cost.
Your analogy for Miller Life is not appropriate because drinking beer is a lot different than winning or losing money.
As you might expect I am a big fan of publications like Consumer Reports and folks like Ralph Nader.
Just follow/listen to Phil for a while and you will see what I mean.
Example-many times he promotes big college totals plays.
If they win, he will brag about it the next time;if they lose, thet are not mentioned;the implication is that they only count if they win.
Just remember my tracking book has given them an overall grade not above Grade C beginning in 2002 with a Grade D- in 2006.
If you listen to phil day in and day out, you get the impression that everything is hunky dory.
If he has a bad weekend, well next week he will just pick out a carefully selected time frame to show he is winning.
If that kind of stuff is ok with you, so be it;it is not with me.
ps As always feel free to add your comments to this thread;I appreciate criticism even though I obviously don't agree with you.
If he chooses to spin his record to make his record sound great, well I reserve the right to spin it also to show the other sign of the coin.
If and when Phil presents the record the way in which he should, ie without spin, I will do the same.
