News: Douglass will make another spot start in place of Jeremy Bonderman, who is out with a tender right elbow, on Wednesday, the Detroit News reports. Spin: "Even though he's not pitched well lately," manager Alan Trammell said, "he's our best option. He's pitched some good games, so we know he's capable. It's not been real pretty, but he has a chance of pitching deep into a game." Last outting blew chunks:http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/boxscore?gameId=250909106 |

Liriano is a flamethrowing prospect who posted wicked strikeouts numbers in Triple-A. He and Scott Baker will likely serve as the Twins' No. 4 and No. 5 starters here on out as they are evaluated as candidates for the 2006 rotation.
