Information on sea levels of where each school traveling to Salt Lake City plays. The high altitude makes it very difficult to play in if you are not used to it. Conditioning will be a major factor in all of these first and second round games in Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City sits about 4330 feet above sea level and in this range players from lower attitudes will suffer. Here is the list of all eight schools and their altitudes. Pacific- 210 Feet Above Sea Level Boston College- 19 Feet Above Sea Level Montana- 3205 Feet Above Sea Level Nevada- 4498 Feet Above Sea Level San Diego State- 13 Feet Above Sea Level Indiana- 760 Feet Above Sea Level Xavier- 540 Feet Above Sea Level Gonzaga- 1900 Feet Above Sea Level San Diego State, Boston College, and Pacific are at a huge disadvantage while Montana and Nevada should not be affected at all. Keep this in mind if these teams meet on Saturday in round two. __________________ |
