Default Wsop Final Tables

The WSOP Main Event is now down to two tables. It took only three and a half hours to lose 9 players this afternoon, and play will continue today until 9 more have been eliminated. All the players who have been eliminated today earned $494,797.

Jamie Gold (pictured) has continued to dominate his table this afternoon, moving his chip count up to 20 million, almost 25% of all the chips in play. Another big mover this afternoon has been Allen Cunningham, who has increased his stack from 2.6 million to 14 million in the past three hours. Cunningham now sits in second chip position; he and Gold have a commanding chip lead over the rest of the field (3rd place has 6.3 million). In an exciting turn of events, Cunningham and Gold drew the same table and Cunningham is sitting directly to Gold's left. Jeffrey Lisandro is also at the feature table, and we are expecting some fireworks.

Eric "Rizen" Lynch was eliminated in 24th place, another very impressive finish from the 27-year-old online tournament pro. The other big name to bust this afternoon was Prahlad Friedman AKA "Spirit Rock", "Mahatma". Friedman and Lynch were both eliminated by Jamie Gold, Lynch when his A-6 failed to improve against Gold's pocket tens, and Friedman when he reraised all-in with A-3 and Gold called with 8-7 offsuit. The flop came out 4-5-6 and Gold flopped the nut straight to eliminate Friedman in 20th place.

The remainig players will recieve a minimum of $659,730, and there will be another big pay jump after three more players have busted out. Here is the payout structure, and the remaining players with their chip rank.

I'll give you all another update once we get down to 9 players, and if you've got Sirius Satellite Radio (which you should), tune into channel 125 to hear all the action LIVE as it happens.
